CURRENT

Concept render
The Current is our flagship design: a full-size electric touring jet boat for trips measured in days, not hours. It’s designed around a 23′ heavy-gauge river hull from a Red Deer, Alberta builder, to be electrified with twin axial-flux motors for long range and serious capability.
Planned Features
- Integrated swim platform with non-skid surface
- Walk-through cross curve windshield with hardtop
- Large open rear sun deck
- Wrap-around stern rails and formed stringers
- Super duty pump guard + heavy duty trim tabs
- Built for extended trips, eco-tourism, and serious river operators

All Trails Edge boats: 100% electric jet drive • no propeller • designed for shallow water • designed to meet Transport Canada SVR & ABYC E-11/TE-4 (not certified) • designed and to be assembled in Grande Prairie, AB. All figures are design targets until tested.
The Current is sized for touring: five people, 2,500 lb of cargo, a swim platform, a hardtop and a rear sun deck you can actually use.
Electric drive means no exhaust at the swim platform, no hot engine cover, and a cockpit designed to be quiet enough to talk at cruise. The display is planned to show battery use against distance in real time, so you can plan the turnaround with reserve. Cold water, heavy loads and strong current will cut range.
It is meant for families, lodges, guides and eco-tourism operators. The Current is designed to meet Transport Canada Small Vessel Regulations and ABYC E-11 and TE-4. All figures are targets until tested.
